Description

Coal is one of the most recommendable natural resource that has been used for in form of fuel for energy and steam production for around more than one and half past century. Burning of coal in coal fired boilers, leaves behind the various types of ashes such as fly ash, coal bottom ash, boiler slag, flue gas desulfurization materials and other residues. Apart from fly ash, coal bottom ash generally considers as a vital coal combustion product which is durable supplementary cementitious material and has a considerable potential to be used as an alternative ingredient in manufacturing of concretes/mortars due to similar physical and chemical composition.
