Description
Research on mentoring in India is still in its nascent stage. Not many studies are conducted on the efficacy or need for this system in the Indian context. Organizations which are using one form or other of mentoring find it increasingly difficult to get the process to move beyond weekly or monthly one–on-one meeting between the protégé and their respective mentor. Based on the history of mentoring relationships and its associated benefits, the primary objective of this paper was to study the impact of mentoring on job satisfaction of bank employees in India. The impact of mentoring was studied after accounting for the demographic variables and job burnout.
