Given that this book arose directly from “The Role of Industrial Relations Systems and Socio-economic Development in South Africa”. Over the several decades, industrial relations systems and socio-economic development concepts are extrapolated from Sociology, Development Studies and Anthropology and Social Psychology. This book is divided into six chapters. Chapter one, I investigated the attitudes of the permanent residents and the squatter-settlements regarding the existence of crime, and the socio-environmental problems experienced by the permanent residents of Greater Breyten Urban Community. Chapter two discuss scientific ideas. A cultural phenomenon is a total social heritage acquired by man, as the culture shared and has distinctive forms (patterns), that shapes human behaviour and its essence are the values embodied in the beliefs of the people.
