Descripción
The work presented in this book was carried out at the Thin Films Technology Laboratory, Department of Physics, COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan. The book is divided into eleven chapters. First chapter gives a brief introduction of thin films. Chapter two describes the properties of II-VI semiconductors such as CdTe, ZnTe and CdS thin films. Chapter three describes the characterizations methods, experimental setup and theory. Chapter four is about Te-enriched CdTe thin films and its effects. Chapter five is devoted to CdTe and effects of Ag doping. Chapter six describes Cu doped CdTe thin films and effects of Cu doping. Chapter seven is about the Comparative study of Cd and Te-enriched CdTe thin films.Chapter eight describe the Deposition and Electrical Properties of Cadmium Telluride Thin Films by Thermal Vacuum Evaporation Technique. Chapter nine is about Ag doped in CdS thin films and deposition of CdS on ITO coated glass slides. Chapter ten describes the ZnTe thin films and doping effects. Chapter 11 is about the Physical Properties of Cu-doped ZnTe Thin Films for Photovoltaic Applications. The Close Spaced Sublimation Technique, Thermal Vacuum Evaporation Technique & Two Source Evaporation Techniques were used to fabricate CdTe, ZnTe and CdS thin films. Doping was done by ion exchange process. At the end there is an overall conclusion of the research work. References to the literature for each chapter are mentioned at the end of each chapter.
