Abhishek

Abhishek Chakraborty is currently working as Scientist-B (Non-Medical) with a MERA-ICMR funded project in the Department of Sociology, Dibrugarh University, Assam, India. He was an engineer by profession and completed his Masters of Arts in Social Work (Counselling) from TISS, Guwahati in 2022 where he was awarded the Best Student Award in his center based on his performance.  

Mr. Chakraborty is the author of a number of research papers//articles published in various leading national journals. He has been an active fieldworker with various organisations and is closely associated with two charity/volunteer organisations in Assam. His areas of interest are Substance Abuse and Addiction, Community Development, Psychiatric Social Work and Welfare Services.
