Dr. WJM Dayaratne got his first degree (Geography Special) & Doctor of Philoshophy from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka & MSc degree from the ITC, the Netherlands.
He has served as an Assistant Director, Land Use Planning (LUP) attached to the Land Use Policy Planning Department, Ministry of Lands from 1988-2020.
