Dr. Afghan has 34 years of Research and Development experience on sugarcane crop. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Sugar Journal published quaterly since 1987. He has 35 Research papers with Impact factor= 39.053 and 45 loca journal papers. He attended 12 International Conferences and presented 20 papers. He also attended 25 National conferences of Pakistan Society of Sugarcane Technologists. Working as principal Scientists in 3 International funded projects and 5 National funded projects. He developed 4 sugarcane varieties and 27 varieties were in pipeline for final approval. He has 1 National paptent of Mutipurpose drill. Have International Collaboration Visits for Research & Development in USA, Brazil, Japan, Mauritius, China, Reunion-France, Thailand, South Africa & Sri Lanka.
