Kahsay Gebretensae

The author is currently a wildlife researcher and he has been working tirelessly for the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority (EWCA) for the past three decades. He is one of the wildlife professionals who have ample experience in coordinating various tasks taking on the positions of directors for different departments, including the wildlife research and monitoring directorate. His affiliation towards conservation issues of large carnivores starts decades back as he has been involved in development of conservation strategies of large carnivores, including the regional and national conservation action plans for African lion, African wild dog and Cheetah. He conducted various assessments of wildlife resources and  their threats and developed conservation education and human-wildlife conflict management manuals that can be used nationally.
