Branislav S. Gavrilovic  was born on October 18. 1957 in Užice (Republic of Serbia).He defended his master's thesis on the topic: "The influence of the passage of trains through the neutral section of the contact network on the quality of electricity supply of the electric traction system Belgrade - Bar" on December 16, 1998, and he defended his doctoral dissertation entitled: "The influence of traction current through the return line of the contact network 25 kV, 50 Hz on the reliable opera-tion of signal-safety rail circuits" on February 13, 2004. at the Technical Faculty Čačak, University of Kragujevac (Republic of Serbia).Published more than one hundred scientific papers in interna-tional journals and anthologies, as well as a participant and leader in a large number of international projects.
