Dr Leslie S. Nthoi is a retired academician at the University of Botswana (Southern Africa). After obtaining a doctoral degree in social anthropology from Manchester University (U.K), he taught African indigenous religions in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies (TRS) of the University of Botswana for several years until he retired in 2009. He has authored several books and journal articles on different aspects of African indigenous religions. He has extensively studied Bakalanga of Northeastern Botswana.
