Dr. Sancak joined the ZWIRN-Research Center of the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences as a professor of finance in February 2019. Since then, he actively conducts scientific research on sustainable finance and digital finance. He is in the top 1 % of authors on the SSRN platform by total new downloads in the last twelve months. Dr. Sancak teaches the “Economic Thinking and Sustainable Finance” course of the university's Sustainability & Risk Management (M.Sc.) program. He has been participating in various industry and academic initiatives at the crossroads of sustainable finance and digital finance. Recently, he took part in developing a sustainability guide for Germany’s banking association of credit banks (Bankenfachverband). One of his professional goals is to develop a “sustainable autonomous financial supervisory system” aligned with the decentralized finance concept.
