Maya V. Choban, PhD: Studied foreign languages at Kazan Pedagogical Institute (Russia). Received PhD in linguistics from Kyiv National T. Shevchenko University. Taught English at different Kyiv higher educational institutions. Associate professor of English at the National academy of statistics, accounting and audit, Kyiv. The author of a number of scientific and methodological papers, some of them are "The Semantic Categorization of Metaphor in the Transfer Schema", "Teaching English Verbs through Event Schemas", "The Semantic Categorization of the Event Schemas of the  Material World in the Cross-linguistic Perspective", "Conceptual Metaphor of the Interpersonal Relations".
