While a variety of robotic assisted gait training (RAGT) systems have been widely applied for gait rehabilitation in neurological patients. The purpose of this article was to provide the best RAGT and clinical evidence in neurorehabilitation. The article corroborates the compelling evidence that RAGT was advantageous in neurorehabilitation, as it provides additive clinical therapeutic effects that compared to conventional therapy. Most importantly, the RAGT paradigm offered more intensive, repetitive, audiovisual feedback and symmetrical gait guidance, while reducing therapist labor, which is often not affordable in current neurorehabilitation. The RAGT should be used as an augmented gait intervention for neurorehabiltation.
