The Book enlightens the community in socio-economic view about woodlot farming adoption from the crop farming in Tanzania, after conducting a study to assess why majority of the households in Mufindi district converted their arable land into woodlot farms to grow trees for business with a main purpose of supplying logs, poles and timbers to the individuals and corporations in the construction industry in different parts of the country. The shift from crop farming to woodlot farming alerts the huge possibility of future food crisis in the country because the Southern Highland region of Tanzania is considered a potential hub for food crops supply in the country because of the favorable weather conditions in the region.
