I have a deep fascination with understanding how emerging technologies are transforming business models and operations across a variety of industries. In addition to my academic research, I have worked in the automotive industry for the past 18 years, focusing on product design, engineering, and development in various areas such as automotive glass, body-in-white, and interior and exterior trims. This hands-on industry experience has provided me with a deep understanding of the practical challenges and innovations driving the evolution of the automotive sector, which I am able to incorporate into my scholarly work and publications. My current position in product engineering domain allows me to combine my extensive industry experience in the automotive sector with my scholarly passion for analyzing the latest trends and innovations in emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, digital supply chains, and Industry 4.0. This unique blend of practical knowledge and academic research enables me to provide valuable insights and perspectives on the transformative impact of these technologies across various industries.
I have been actively involved in academic research and have published several papers, book chapters in peer-reviewed international journals, including the World Journal of Engineering Research and Technology, Springer publications, the Automotive Engineering eJournal, and the Electrical Engineering eJournal. My primary inspiration for writing and conducting research in this domain stems from a deep fascination with the transformative potential of emerging technologies and their profound capacity to reshape various industries and business models. As an active participant in the automotive industry, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact of innovations such as artificial intelligence, digital supply chains, and Industry 4.0 on the way businesses operate, products are developed, and value is delivered to customers.
By conducting rigorous research, I seek to critically examine the ramifications of emerging technologies, evaluating both their advantages and potential drawbacks. Conceptualizing and completing my book has been a stimulating and dynamic process over approximately 14 months. The research topic began to take shape in late 2023 as I closely observed the rapid advancements and widespread adoption of emerging technologies across various industries. Recognizing the profound impact these innovations were having on the industry and operations; I was compelled to undertake a comprehensive study to explore the multifaceted implications of these transformative developments. The initial research phase involved an extensive literature review, during which I examined academic publications and industry reports addressing the key themes of my work. This critical analysis and synthesis allowed me to identify the critical gaps in existing knowledge and the areas that required further investigation.
