Paulo Vinicius Gil

Paulo Alabarse first studied oxidative stress and ageing during his bachelor’s degree (UFRGS; 2005-2008) and master studies (UFRGS; 2009-2011). Fascinating by ageing diseases, he changed his goals and started his PhD on Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis (UFRGS; 2012-2016). In 2015, he went to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and University of Birmingham (2015) to learn metabolomics. Then he got a post-doctoral fellowship at the USP-RP (2017-2019), where he went deep into osteoarthritis. Since 2019, he is a research scholar at University of California, San Diego, working in partnership to Veteran Medical Research Foundation searching for novel drugs to osteoarthritis.
