Mária

Mária Vargová works at the Department of Public Veterinary medicine and Animal Welfare, University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, Slovakia. Her methodological skills are in the field of in monitoring and assessing the level of hygiene in animal husbandry and food operations, study of biofilms. Research activities are aimed at solving problems in the environment of animals and food processing plants from the point of view of monitoring of microbial contamination of surfaces, evaluation of the effectiveness of disinfection, testing of disinfectants and study of biofilm. Her scientific achievement consists from 40 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and 16 of them in CC and Scopus journals and 4 text books. In databases WoS and Scopus are registered 101 citations. To this day, she has been main researcher of 1 Slovak and co-solver of 2 foreign and 2 Slovak projects.
