Descripción
The success of each project is directly related to minimizing (or possibly eliminating) the risks that will arise. The need to eliminate risks during the implementation of a project led to the creation of standards by various international organizations, which define the principles, rules and procedures required to be applied. The final Risk Management Plan can be adapted to each project individually using features from more than one standard.
The integrated Risk Management System is a practical guide for infrastructures construction projects undertaken by the companies and is mainly addressed to the project management team. Its objective is to help executives and engineers understand the concepts of Risk Management, the relevant tools and techniques that can be used in the projects they undertake. It is based on the risk management guidelines referred to ISO 31000 2nd version (2018) and the Risk Management Process according to PMI.
This handbook covers the entire basic cycle of risk management which consists of Risk Identification, Analysis, Response and finally risk Monitoring. For each of the above stages, all the techniques used are mentioned and explained so that each person, depending on its experience, chooses the most appropriate one. Also, a case study is developed in a real project in order to make the whole process more understandable.
Upon completion of the reading of this manual, the executive or engineer will be able to create his own Risk Management Plan in projects to be implemented or in projects that are already in progress.
