Chatbots have continued to improve at a steady pace. Now they stimulate a conversation with a human through artificial intelligence (AI). This book explores the effects of the use of chatbots on English as a foreign language (EFL) learning. In particular, the author investigates the effectiveness of AI chatbots in relation to four language skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. EFL students' perceptions of using chatbots are also analyzed and discussed. In addition, the author examines whether the chatbots have significant effects on English vocabulary and grammar skills. The findings will provide insight into the use of chatbots for English language learning. Finally, the author suggests that EFL teachers consider integrating the chatbot technology in their class.
