The four Indian medicinal plants such as Tribulus lanuginosus L., Hygrophila auriculata, Aerva lanata and Myristica dactiloides were scrutinized for phytochemical and antioxidant enzymes. Further, three different (petroleum ether, chloroform & ethanol) solvent extracts of plant materials were tested for antimicrobial activity separately. Furthermore, biosynthesis of silver and gold nanoparticles from these plants was characterized by UV-VIS spectroscopy, DLS, Zeta potential, SEM and XRD analysis and also studied their antimicrobial (well diffusion assay) and anticancer/cytotoxic (MTT assay) effects. Based on this investigation, I strongly recommended that these biosynthesized nanoparticles were highly potent for pharmaceutical applications in the future and it’s become an alternative antibiotic.
