This book focuses on a detailed analysis of global shipments of the smartphone industry, specifically showing COVID-19 impact. Considering the current crisis caused by the COVID-19 on the global economy, this study has been attempted. As the smartphone industry is one of the major industries in the technological field that has become very influential today, and which has been impacted by pandemics, this industry is selected to analyze its impact. Side by side, it is suggested some strategic measures for the global smartphone brands to strategically handle the situation; thus go forward and achieve success and/or to grab the market opportunities created by the pandemic. The findings show a list of the top ten global smartphone brands along with their particulars. It is also found that there is a significant negative impact of COVID-19 on global smartphone brands primarily, especially in the big markets of this industry but later on, it is found some positive impacts too. In contrast, it is found and anticipated that if the ongoing waves of the coronavirus continue, the positive impact might not sustain. Hence, further negative impacts must be seen. However, the worldwide COVID-19 vaccination programs substantiate a typical situation soon where the ‘phygital’ working condition, a new concept of a physical plus digital platform, may be overtaken that will keep the positive impact created by coronavirus sustain in some cases. It is mainly useful for the smartphone industry stakeholders like the owners, users, and policymakers.
