The LC-MS/MS technique has been used for more than three decades, so it may be considered as a well-established technique for determination of drugs in biological material. However, it should be noted that the LC-MS/MS technique is not a "magic stick" which outweighs the problems that arise during the determination of drugs in biological material. The development of rugged LC-MS/MS bioanalytical method is a complex process filled with many challenges. The reliability of one LC-MS/MS bioanalytical method is remarkably dependent upon the timely recognition of all factors that may generate invalid results. The rational approach during the method development denotes assessment of all critical steps that may affect the ruggedness of the LC-MS/MS bioanalytical method.
