Xinguang Wang has been working on environmental research and treatment projects at universities and research institutes for over 30 years after receiving doctor degree from Nanjing University, China. He had worked as senior research associate and laboratory manager at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia for 17 years. He had also been a visiting professor of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. His working area and experiences include measurement of odour and odorants; method development of sampling and assessment of air pollutants from different sources; abatement study and treatment of exhaust air, wastewater, etc.; recovery of contaminated canal, lake, and other water bodies. Apart from research projects, he has led many environmental engineering projects. Nearly thirty of his scientific research papers were published in different journals.
