Elmien

Elmien Bronkhorst is a clinical pharmacist and senior lecturer at the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU).
She obtained her B.Pharm degree from North West University in 1995 and a MSc(Med) in clinical pharmacy from University of Limpopo, Medunsa Campus in 2012.  Elmien graduated in May 2019 with her PhD in pharmacy, from the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University.  She has a keen interest in Clinical Pharmacy, specifically in the areas of critical care medicine and antimicrobial stewardship and recently antiretroviral stewardship.
She was one of the first practising clinical pharmacists in South Africa, before she joined the academic community around eight years ago.
